Last Saturday (January 31st), our POMTOC team spent the morning giving back to our community by cleaning up Watson Island Park.
From 9:00 to 12:00 a.m., nine volunteers from POMTOC and our partners at PortsAmerica joined forces with The International SeaKeepers Society and local running groups to remove litter from our coastline. Together, more than 703 pounds of trash was collected, adding to over 36,000 pounds removed from beaches and parks since 2019. An impressive positive impact, and we’re proud to be part of this ongoing annual project.
We’re grateful to everyone who participated and to the “SeaKeepers” for organizing this and other environmentally and socially engaging meaningful initiatives.
Small actions, when done together, make a big difference.
