Port of Miami Terminal Operating Company, L.C., (POMTOC) is the Port of Miami’s only non-carrier owned terminal operator serving the shipping community since 1994 by providing a broad mix of essential services to the global shipping industry. POMTOC has recently (May 2009) invested in the implementation of chassis cameras which will further enhance the processing of our gate transactions through the state of the art Terminal GateVision System. Our 16 lane Gate Complex is able to process 3,200 gate transactions per day which doubles our capacity. Our investment in leading edge software and terminal operations technology was a major step towards maximizing the efficiency of POMTOC. Our customers, through our Terminal Operating System (TOS), have complete visibility of containers moving through our gates, yard and to/from vessels. Our TOS also allows importers, exporters, brokers, forwarders and truckers to have immediate online access with real time information on container availability, bookings, demurrage charges, online payments, truckers’ interchanges and gate activities by using the systems Forecast feature.
